My iPhone 14 pro’s screen is frozen and forcing a reset doesn’t fix it . Any suggestions?

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). 

(2)  If the above does not work then - Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.

(3)  If that does not help, then contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and a resolution.

Same issue happend to me. I tried to put my iPhone into recovery mode and it fixed, you could read this guide.

Apple chat technician wrote:

Tap with your three fingers on the screen and slide the screen.

It worked.

This worked...sounded like magic. By tapping and selecting zoom out. But iphone need to fix this mess. It keeps recurring especially if you put your phone in the pocket. It automatically zooms in.

I recently had this happen too. It was especially stressful since I was on vacation and had a mobile-only pass to get in to an event.

The force reset process did work, but it look over 8 attempts. Not sure if related, but this was a couple days after upgrading to 16.7. I've owned an iPhone for over 10 years and have never seen one do this.

You can’t take out the SIM card in a 14 pro. It’s all internalized. I’ve had nothing but trouble with mine. Not very happy. Good luck!

Upgraded my iPhone 14 Pro yesterday to 17.1.1 and today screen got frozen. Was not able to do anything after almost 5mins the phone restarted automatically but i was helpless for 5mins.

this is happening to me right now my screen is stuck on “verifying update” and it’s been 40 minutes the hard reset won’t even work . Apple need to get their **** together.

If force restart doesn't work:

1. Take out the sim
2. Unlock the phone
3. Put the device on flight mode
4. Delete last installed apps if you believe that one of them is related to the freezing
5. Insert the sim back

You should be fine.
