How to sync notification sounds on Apple Watch and iPhone?

Hello everyone, tell me I wear a watch and when they are dressed, the sound from notifications goes only to them, how to make the notification sound come to both devices?

Thanks.

You can't get notifications on both. It's not how notifications are designed to work. If your iPhone screen is on, notifications come to your iPhone. If your iPhone screen is locked, notifications come to your Apple Watch. They do NOT come to both as that is how Apple engineered it to work.

I can see it now: “Apple, why are you annoying me by ringing notifications on BOTH my iPhone and Watch! That is so annoying! Who came up with this stupid idea?"

How much do you want to bet someone will chime in with, "They should give us options!"?

I'm just adding my voice to everyone that has already spoken up. I just switched from Samsung to iPhone after 30 years and the lack of this one features is absolutely awful. I've missed SO many notifications, including important texts. I guess I'll just turn the sound up and change the haptic for now until they resolve this. Apple - please fix this. Give people the option. It's important.

Well, I'm constantly tired of Apple thinking it always nows, but it is needed and causing stupid problems. Because I'm not receiving notifications, even if I have both of the systems in the operation, the watch and in the phone.

as much as I having the watch, I think I'm going to stop using it because it just has gotten ridiculous lately that I'm constantly apologizing the people that I didn't hear the phone ring and my watch didn't ring either for text or phone call. **** I missed the important call from my friend

I'm frustrated with the inconsistent notification system between my Apple Watch and iPhone and time wasted trying to solve the issue. Despite having both devices operational, I'm frequently missing important notifications, including calls and text messages. This has led to numerous embarrassing situations where I've had to apologize for not responding promptly.

Most distressingly, I recently missed a critical call from a friend informing me of his mother's passing. This oversight caused significant emotional distress and highlighted the severity of the notification problem.

Given these ongoing issues, I'm seriously considering discontinuing use of my Apple Watch altogether. While I appreciate its sleep tracking feature, which I find particularly useful, the persistent notification problems make the device more of a liability than an asset in my daily life.

Additionally, I'd like to address several user interface issues:

1. The shake-to-undo function is unreliable. Please consider implementing a software button for this feature to improve accessibility and consistency.

2. The text editing system, particularly the magnifying glass for cursor placement, is cumbersome. A more intuitive method for precise text selection and editing would greatly enhance the user experience.

3. The dictation feature has compatibility issues with third-party keyboards like Grammarly, limiting its effectiveness.

While I appreciate the innovative features Apple provides, I believe these fundamental usability issues should take precedence over less essential additions like new emojis. The simplest solution for me may be to stop using the Apple Watch entirely, as it's becoming increasingly difficult to justify its use given these persistent problems.

I would greatly appreciate your attention to these matters and look forward to your response on how these issues can be addressed. If these problems cannot be resolved, I may have no choice but to discontinue use of the Apple Watch, retaining only its sleep tracking functionality.

This isn't the place to make suggestions to Apple. This is a user to user only forum, which Apple doesn't actively participate, nor read for user feedback. If you want to share your thoughts with Apple, use this --> Feedback - Watch - Apple

If it doesn't work for you, you shouldn't use it. Makes sense to me.

If you mean on your phone, there is a very precise method of placing the insertion point. Press and hold on the space bar on the keyboard. The entire keyboard turns into a trackpad. You can move your finger around and place the insertion point where you want.

Totally agree with above comment. As a professional, I rely on notifications for work related things. I’ve set up custom sounds on my iPhone that don’t work on my Apple Watch. It’s imperative that I receive these notifications for support to my customers. Very easy to miss a single ping from the watch . Additionally many Apps like Teams no longer play customized alerts. And I also have customized ring tones and text alerts for important contacts. Just get the ping from the watch. For this reason alone, I probably will never buy another Apple Watch. Amazing that with all the features and customization that dual alerts isn’t a feature. Apple… please consider this for future development.
