Re-download deleted movie

Try signing out for the Apple TV app (menu Account), then sign in again. That should refresh your Library.

It should load your Library with past purchases, and Store items would reflect past purchases and show a Download button but no Buy/Rent button.

Else contact an expert from the Apple Support staff. As it doesn’t seem to work correctly in your setup/​on your Mac.

You are supposed to see the cloud download symbol for items that are downloadable.

When clicked, that download button should then transition into a spinning busy indicator.

You should also see a spinning busy indicator with a down pointing arrow in the top bar of the window, to show a download is in progress, next to the Search field. That will act as a button for the Activity window (also accessible from the Window menu or its keyboard shortcut). The Activity window will show the actual progress, in text and also with a blue arc that grows to a full circle.
