I must have changed passcodes last two numbers and I’m at attempt 7 before lockout. How do I attempt more than 10 times without lockout and without losing data. Apple said my backups for my old phone were erased. Help!

Whether or not there exits a backup is irrelevant to resolving your predicament.
(NOT the same as “unimportant” or “insignificant”)
You must either enter the passcode correctly …
… or reset the device (completely erasing it)
No other alternatives exist for that particular device.

I forgot passcode for my old iPhone 7 Plus.
