Flaw in iPadOS Allows iPad to be unlocked with surgical gloves. I have discovered a serious flaw in iPadOS 17.0.3. I don't know if this flaw existed before since I have just noticed it now. On my iPad Air 4th Gen I can unlock my iPad while wearing surgical gloves. There is no way the unlock button could read fingerprints through latex gloves so it should not work. I recorded a video of it being done but it seems this forum only allows posting photos.

iOS18.0 Touch ID iPad Air M2 13” very slow Touch ID response is very slow since I installed iOS18.0. I did follow the support thread about ‘resetting’ Touch ID, but it’s still very slow. Scanning a finger takes about 5-10s per scan. Unlocking is the same: 5-10s until either unlock/ time-out or passcode entry. I had to switch Touch ID completely off for now to make things bearable on iOS18. Had no problems on iOS17. The iPad is brand new, 2 weeks old. Anyone experience the same? Or do I need to plan a visit to the Genius Bar?

Palm Rejection not working after the new iPadOS 26 After updating my iPad Air 5 to the latest iPadOS 26, the palm rejection is broken. When I try to write something(with my palm on the screen), it draws some random horizontal/vertical lines. Before, there was no problem like this, but now I can only write with my hand lifted, so the only thing that will have contact with the screen is my Apple Pencil. Do you have any solutions for this problem?

Yes - when used with an Apple Pencil.

All models of iPad have palm rejection.
