How do you reset a password for a guest user on your MacBook air?

You need to log in as an administrative user.

Go to System Settings.

Click Users and Groups.

Click on the padlock to change the settings, you need your Mac login password.

Click on the Guest User, and uncheck the “Allow guests to log in to this computer” checkbox. Once it is unchecked, then recheck it, so that guests can log in again.

Click the padlock to unlock the settings.
