Can we please have Apple remove this folder feature? It causes more problems than solutions when it “accidentally” grabs an icon I’m trying to move. It then takes more steps to get it back, then more steps to move it where I want, then sometimes a folder grabs it again. Very frustrating. It should have a prompt asking if I want to place it in a folder. Any ideas on how to manage the feature?

Many User find that the App folders feature is very useful in organising their installed Apps to their preference. While available, the feature doesn’t have to be used - however, there are no settings that can fully disable the feature.
Apple do invite submission of comments and feature requess via its Product Feedback portal. If you woild like to see additional features and capabilities in a future release of iOS/iPadOS, this would be the appropriate channel through which to make such a request:
