shutting down and restarting radomly

my iphone 8plus is randomly shutting down and restarting. I can put it on the charger and it will do the same at times. i have checked the battery and it is at 80% why is has my phone started doing this and what can i do to fix it?

Based on the information you provided, your battery is a good place to start. Once your iPhone gets below 80%, Apple recommends having your battery replaced.


Because your battery is at 80%, you may want to check to see if your battery supports peak performance. iPhone Battery and Performance - Apple Support If it doesn't you'll see a message that states that. It may be time to think about battery replacement.
