So recently i got a new ipad pro 12.9 and while setting it up i somehow messed up the password and now i cannot open it so i’m trying to restore it using the recovery mode on my 13 inch macbook pro (2020) and it keeps disconnecting midway the update. I’ve tried a different port and still nothing’s changed what should i do now???

Presumably you are attempting to perform a factory restore. If the restore process fails to complete within 15 minutes, the process will time-out. Issues of this nature are usually due to having an inadequate internet connection (i.e., it’s too slow).
