Did you purchase this power adapter directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller? If so, it should be an original product. Otherwise, you are chancing that it is not.

Both the packaging and the device appear to be legitimate. Regardless, why would you believe otherwise? Did you get it from a third-party? ... at an exceptionally low price?
