Forgot Screen Lock Password for my MacBook Pro 13”

Hi I’ve forgotten my screen lock passcode for my MacBook Pro, it an older model 13” I can not find an any place on screen to get help to change it. What do I do?

can I plug in my iPhone to the MacBook and bypass the lock screen?

if I take it to a Apple store can they get in?

please help
