I have ATT fiber and just upgraded to 2.0 (actually 2.5) Gig internet. I was using an old ethernet adapter that was only capable of 1gig. I bought an Ankar 2.5gig adapter from Amazon and tried it today. It didn't work, then worked, then didn't work and now I can't get it to work anymore. I've isolated it down to the adapter by testing all cables, our switch, connecting directly etc... It is the adapter. I'm guessing some adapters work better than other with the Macs. Anyone have suggestions of 2.5G USB C to Ethernet Adapters that have been reliable with similar set ups? Thanks in advance! Brandon

Ethernet Connection on MacBook Pro M2 Max I am considering purchasing a MacBook Pro M2 Max.Ddue to my work's demand for a dependable internet connection, (ideally a wired connection) I would like to hook up the macbook to ethernet cable. I'm keen to explore the option of connecting my MacBook to an Ethernet cable. Does anyone have firsthand experience with Thunderbolt 4 docks that include an Ethernet port, specifically those like the Microsoft Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock? I'm particularly interested in whether these docks or Thunderbolt-to-Ethernet adapters can deliver internet speeds on par with a desktop equipped with a dedicated Ethernet port. Thank you!

FWIW, I'm not aware of anyone that offers a Thunderbolt 4-to-2.5 GB Ethernet adapter. Regardless, I would suggest that you consider looking at Other World Computing (OWC) as one source for these kinds of adapters.
