Duplicates in Photos on my MAC
So what was the answer? I also don't have the duplicates button on my MAC.

Your question seems to be out of context?
The Duplicates album is a new feature in Photos 8 on macOS 13 Ventura. Is that the system version you are having installed? It may take several days for the duplicates album to appear, for a large library even weeks. The album will appear automatically, once Photos has scanned the Photos Library and found some duplicates. Let Photos run and don't turn your Mac off, until the scan for duplicates has finished.
