“Unable to install security response” even after reset all settings. What’s next?

I’ve been getting this error after It got my phone in a boot loop last week. Had to connect to my MacBook and run the restore feature to get my phone useable. After that it will not install the security patch. Any ideas?

Hello EaudeApple_80,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you.

We recommend performing the actions provided in article, If your iPhone or iPad won't update - Apple Support. Given that you've been working on this issue already, you will want to ensure you try the suggestions under section: Remove and download the update again. This will make sure the software wasn't already downloaded and is hindering the process.

Remove and download the update again

If you still can't install the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, try downloading the update again:

1. Go to Settings > General > [Device name] Storage.
2. Find the update in the list of apps.
3. Tap the update, then tap Delete Update.
4. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and download the latest update.

If you don't see the update in the list of apps or if the issue happens again, you need to update your device with your computer:

* Update your device using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later
* Update your device using a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or a Windows PC

Learn how to use recovery mode if your computer doesn't recognize your device or your screen is stuck on the Apple logo for several minutes without a progress bar.

Best regards.
