Need new battery

The battery replacement is about $99. You are probably seeing shorter use time on a battery charge. It depends on if that has become unusable for you. Generally Apple recommends replacement when battery drops to 80% or below. They usually last between 5 - 7 years and it appears you are probably at about the 5 year mark if this is on your iPhone XR.

You can Turn off the Peak Performance Capability and if your device shuts down again due to battery issue, it will be re-enabled.

The options for you to consider are:

• Battery replacement
• iPhone replacement
• Deal with shorter charge time

$89 plus tax, etc at the Apple Store if you are in the U.S. Price should be similar at an authorized Apple Service Shop in the U.S.

As far as we know, Apple offers no deals on batteries, and you don't want a cheap "knock off" that will overheat and not display Battery Health correctly.
