Seagate HD read only after update
Is there a fix for Ventura 13.3.1(a) OS unable to read Seagate HD?

Usually, it is because you installed the bundled software in order to write to the non-native NTFS file system on the drive. That software always breaks.
Select the drive and Get Info. What does it say for Format and what does it say in the Sharing and Permissions section.

If it is formatted NTFS, you did not format it for use on a Mac. macOS, without special software, cannot create an NTFS volume.
what you did was install the software that was bundled with the drive. That software allows you to write NTFS, otherwise macOS can only read it. You need to either update the software and deal with this problem at just about every update or move your data inform at the drive in a Mac format.

You need to update the third party driver you were using that allowed writing to the NTFS formatted drive.
Seagate support would be the ones to provide an update.
Or, you can move your data to another drive, format it for use on a Mac, then move your data back. That way you can avoid all of this in the future. Their software will always break.

Then it is as I stated in my original post.
As has been stated, you update the software you installed instead of formatting it for a Mac.
OK, thanks. However I did format it for my iMac, I've used this drive since 2019 but after installing my OS update it because read only. I have contacted Apple & Seagate neither had a solution. However Paragon is aware of the problem & because I have a Seagate drive I'm eligible for a "special update".... we'll see what that is.

Thank you for your reply, I will do that later but my WD hard drives still mount, the Seagate is now read only. It worked prior to the update
You need to do as suggested by Barney-15E.
