Can't access photos in Final Cut Pro

I'm having trouble syncing/importing my photos and videos into FCP. It's probably a simple fix but I'm just not getting it. Here are the things I've tried:

  • Import Media > Photos > (the photos library is greyed out, can't click)
  • Photos, videos and audio sidebar > Photos (no media displayed in the box)
  • Under Settings > Privacy and Security Settings > Photos (full access to FCP enabled, still nothing)

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do that I missed. Thanks

I am having a similar problem with trying to import my photos from my iPhone 15 Max, the format pictures are HEIC and video which is not recognized on my 2020 iMac running with Mac OS Monterey Ver. 12.2 don't want to upgrade to a new operating Version as I have other projects I'm working on. Any solution besides the above, highlighted in Red, which didn't give me the option to click as the area is grayed out
