HomPod mini stuck on configuring

Bought a HomePod mini recently and when trying to add it to my home it goes to Configuring and it's stuck there. Tried to reset the device multiple times, no go, reinstalled the home app, no go. Tried with a test home, but still no go.

Also, the strange thing is when I minimize the home app and open it again it always asks for HomePod location services to be enabled. I did that multiple times and even checked the setting for location all enabled.

If anyone has any suggestions please assist.
