My Reminder app wanted to update "for new features" and turn on iCloud sync, so I did. It asked what to do with existing reminders on my phone. I choosed "Merge". Now every reminder is gone and I can't see them anywhere on any device. Can't restore them on icloud.com. What to do? Why did "merge" delete all my reminders?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We can understand how missing your Reminders would be an issue. You did mention that you were unable to recover them using the iCloud website. Just to confirm, were these the steps you attempted? Restore your reminders on iCloud.com - Apple Support
1. On iCloud.com, clickin the toolbar, then click Data Recovery.
2. Click Restore Calendars and Reminders.
3. Available versions are listed by the date and time they were archived.
4. To the right of the version you want to restore, click Restore.

Unfortunately, Apple support can't help with this issue. The reminders are gone for good. I went through all of it and they tried resetting so many things and nothing worked. It's really sad that this information was lost without warning.
Yeah that does not work. There are no versions there, because there was no sync before all this happened. Need more help please.
