Trying to work mic here but when plugged in Sound Preferences show that there is Line in, Hinting that it detects something plugged in the mic jack, But there is no sound levels showing from it, Removing it makes it also detect it being removed, What can I do to fix this problem? Also did a clean installation of Monterey and still no Mic.

The Mac mini’s Input port is line-level. In other words, it requires an amplified input signal from another device.

Oh I've now noticed the headphones is not an amplified one, Now I see why, I thought its a plug and it works type of thing, Thank You for the clarification!
