Why Do Beats Studio3 Headphones Completely Discharge in Under 9 Hours NO USE?!!

Only 6 days ago my new Beats Studio3 on-ear headphones arrived from Amazon. For two nights now I went to bed with headphones charged to 100%, and powered off. When I removed them from my bag and the zippered clam, they were at 19% the first day, 10% the second day. This is unacceptable for headphones I JUST PAID OVER $200 for, and constantly go on a massive sale the day after every time I buy them.

Hey there tekknokat,

While the estimated time on a full charge would be 22 hours of listening time per this link, it would seem that there's a big difference for the 9 hours that you're experiencing: Studio 3 Wireless

While you may need to contact Apple Support about this, we'd like to help by learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:

  1. You mentioned that you purchased your Beats six days ago, but after the fourth day this started to occur. Do you recall changing any settings on the device you pair with your Beats, or performing any specific actions, right before this started?
  2. Since you mentioned they were charged to 100% before going to bed, did you leave them connected/paired to anything overnight?
  3. To which model is your headphones being paired, and what's the OS version installed on that device?

Cheers!

OK, I am forming a possible theory as well. I pair them right now to my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I also have a Redmi Note 11 5G by Xiaomi, but Beats don’t carry a fraction of the music range and quality on Android they do on iOS 16.4.1(a). When I am not listening I unpair them to the iPhone, but I frequently see that if I check the Control Center, the icon for the volume will be a pair of headphones rather than the speaker, which informs me that the headphones have reconnected to the iPhone. AS LONG as the headphones are connected, they will drain their battery at the typical pace, since they have to power back up to reconnect. I am usually using Apple Music, but could also have been using Amazon Prime, or HBO Max, since you asked. I will have to create a habit of double-checking every time I power these headphones off, that they are completely disconnected from my iPhone, as they frequently just immediately power back on to maintain their connection. I am curious if I am missing something I should be observing here.
