Hi Staffid93,
Regarding authorization requests to play music, there are 2 most likely causes:
1) Your computer may not be authorized, or you may have reached the maximum number of authorizations for your account. Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases provides further details on this. To correct it, you must deauthorize all devices and then reauthorize the ones you still access.
2) You may have files stored on your Mac that were downloaded using another Apple ID that is not yours or the one you're signed in with. If this is the case, similar rules to the above solution apply in that the computer may not be authorized to play content acquired through the other account. If this is the case and you do not own or control the Apple ID in question, removing that content should remedy this behavior. You can right-click on a track, choose "Get Info" and under the File tab see if there is a "Purchased By" item designating the Apple ID that acquired the file.
Regards.

Now resolved by an Apple employee in Virginia who discovered an old email address was duplicating my songs and wasn’t authorised.
Thank you
