Apple Watch camera remote not working

Hi guys, recently I noticed that the camera remote app has disappeared from my Apple Watch. More so the app grid. I went into my Apple Watch App Store and saw that the camera remote is installed. However when I click open. Nothing happens. If I ask Siri to open camera remote, Siri says sorry it’s unable too. I’m not sure what has happened. Though one day my iPhone camera was accidentally left on for 5 hours. Both devices are fully up to date. I have tried pairing and unpairing the watch though the issue remains. Please advise, thanks.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

At this point, your best option may be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar in an Apple Store near you and let them look at it. If that is not possible, use the online Apple Support option. Either way:

Hi there, thanks for your reply. I have tried all of this and I am still unable to access the camera remote, I included in this reply some Watch screenshots that I believe may help convey my situation. Thanks
