Using both a mac desktop and laptop with OS Ventura 13.3.1(a). Have downloaded Whatsapp for desktop version 2.2319.9. I am not receiving sound notifications on either device when a new message arrives. And Whatsapp does not appear under System Settings/Notifications. Suspect that is the problem. Anyone know of the solution?

Thanks for the help but I uninstalled with AppCleaner then reinstalled using different sources (Mac app store, Whatsapp itself) with no change. Each time I uninstalled with AppCleaner as I tried a new source. Have now tried a beta version which Whatsapp provides on its website, version 23.9 (473672369). The app is now showing in my System settings/Notifications on my desktop Mac. Will see if this provides sound notifications. A bit reluctant to use a beta version of any app.
