I have a m1 MacBook Pro running Ventura and have notified that my max struggles just running YouTube. I have updated my Mac and restarting. Is this a clue to get a better Mac, like the M1 Max or m2 pro?

A few common problem fixes are as follows:
Make sure you have a minimum of 15-20% of your total hard drive space free and available.
Make sure you are not running other things in the background or are minimized in the Dock.
Boot into safe mode which will run system diagnostics and repair problems it finds.
Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support
Run 'First Aid' on the hard drive using Disk Utility.
