FWIW, Don't mean to be vague but I don't remember the details. I had the same thing on one of my Mac laptops from 2013 or 2015. It seems to be a glitch on Apple's end with certain models. Monterey is the latest version you can install.
Not trying to argue with you Barney (just trying to understand what I am seeing), but I am still running High Sierra on my early 2015 13" Retina display MacBook Pro. I finally feel the need to upgrade, and have read many posts on here this morning saying to run Monterey. When I go to my App Store it isn't offering me Monterrey but is offering me Ventura ? So I'm very confused as to what's happening. I thought I read on here that the App Store would not offer you an OS version that your computer would not support. Thanks for any clarification you can give me.
