Settings: Adding a website and password

In Settings: I’m trying to add a website and password in PASSWORDS, but the “done” button remains gray and it won’t let me add. I don’t get the automated option when I’m on this website. Help!

How do you add a website to a password? Some companies (like Disney) have one login that works on multiple sites. I would like to add those sites to the entry in the password, but I do not see an option to add an address when I edit. I have also gone to the new site, selected the password and logged in to see if the address would be added to the password, but it was not added. I could create multiple password entries as a workaround, but this creates the possibility of the various entries falling out of sync

Password App not automatically popping up When passwords were a part of the Settings, when a website or an app asked for a username/password, an autofill line would appear on the keyboard. The new app does not do that. I have to start the password app and copy and paste items one by one (and every time I switch, it has to unlock). On some sites that it works, it is erratic: one out of 4-5 times it functions right. This is getting pretty frustrating. Is there a way to fix it or do we have to wait for the next releases of iOS and iPasOS?

Safari "Add Website" button not working Hi! We have my kid on the "Allowed Websites Only" restriction for Screen Time and to add websites, I have to manually type in the url or copy/paste the URL and email it to myself to add it. There is a button that says "Add Website" that says " To add this website to your approved list, click Add Website." I included a screenshot. However, when we click on it, it doesn't work (I also included a screenshot of this). It would be much easier to just click the "allow website" button, type in the passcode, and move along. Any ideas?? Thank you!

Hi Disgruntled23,

To manually add a password for autofill, you can go to Settings > Passwords and tap the plus symbol in the upper right corner. On the next page, enter the url for the website that you're adding along with the username and password. This should allow you to tap "Done" to save the changes.

If that isn't working as expected, we'd advise to update your iOS software to the latest version. Updates contain fixes that can often correct unexpected behavior:
