I need to update an existing Apple iBook created in 2015 by adding an additional Chapter and a revised Introduction.
Although Pages is required for new publications I understand I can still use iBooks to access and update as I hear there are potential formatting problems in migrating to Pages? (My iMac uses High Sierra and I'm considering updating to Catalina if this would help.) Any suggestions gratefully received.
Apple's iBooks Author v2.6.1 not only continues to work on Catalina, but on Ventura 13.3.1 (a). You just cannot obtain it from Apple if you don't already have it, and it is unclear how long it will continue to function on future Apple operating system releases.
Whether you can resubmit that revised .iba document to Apple from iBooks Author at this date is a big question mark, and Apple's Book Store focus is now from Pages documents.
