Is "apple dot com" legit?

I just changed my payment method on my phone and was immediately charged $74.19 for "APPLE DOT COM BILL". I don't know what that was for, and I don't see it listed in my Apple purchases. Seems it may be fraud, but how would they get the card just from my entering it in my phone?
