Personal Hotspot has no internet access

I’ve been trying to connect my computer to my iPhone’s personal hotspot for a few days now and although it manages to connect to it, it has no internet access. I’m trying to connect a win10 PC to an iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.2


I have tried the solutions posted in the community, but none of them worked

I had the same problem as the OP here, but I am on a macbook. Here is the solution to this problem for anyone on a macbook and finds this thread. I got on Apple phone support, and after an hour, that had me add a 'new location' to this setting in macos > settings > network .


As soon as I added a new location, then attached a new wifi service and a new ethernet service to that location, my personal hotspot immediately picked up.
