I am at a location that has wifi but the owner does not know what her password is - how can I connect? I am in her contacts but I am not receiving an invitation?

How can I access wifi remotely when the owner of the wifi doesn't remember her password and for some reason when I hold my phone close I am not getting an invitation to join?

can i share my wifi without sharing my password I noticed that most androids and and lo brand or no brand devices when i enter my wifi password do not make that password available. But if i let someone access my wifi who has a apple device the apple device saves my password to their device and so now they have my personal information. I should be able to share my wifi without sharing my password. I do not want everyone to access my password.

This is a serious security concern!!!!! Who came up with this idea. Never ever should a stored password be shown in text to a user even if they have the password for their device. Consider a situation where I share my WiFi with a friend who comes to my home and asks to use the WiFi. I comply and type in my WiFi password (even if it is a guest WiFi) but don't show it to my friend. This used to be secure, but now instantly they can see my WiFi password. I no longer have control who can get access to my WiFi. This is absolutely horrible!!!!! Take away this feature ASAP!!!!!

You can also look at the label on the router for the password.

You cannot connect to the WiFi if the WiFi password is not known. However they can share it

How to share your Wi-Fi password

Make sure your device (the one sharing the password) is unlocked and connected to the Wi-Fi network.
Select the Wi-Fi network on the device you want to connect.
On your device, tap Share Password, then tap Done.
