All sent messages marked blocked sender

Recently when I send an email and then check in sent messages, it's showing on all sent emails a red circle with line thru it beside recipient. there's also a header message "This message is from a sender in your blocked list." The sender is receiving the message. This has just started the last week

Why is this occurring?

I had this also - I fixed it from this thread by realizing my own number was blocked (likely a kid messing with my phone I suspect!) so it was marking all sent messages and some replies I think as blocked.... Went into settings mail reviewed blocked senders and unblocked myself

I was confused by this at first. All my sent emails had that blocked sign. Here is how I fixed it.

  • Settings
  • Mail
  • Scroll down to “Blocked” and you may see a bunch of phone numbers. Keep scrolling until you see email addresses. Nearly at the bottom I came across my email address to my surprise
  • Slide your email address to the left and the words UNBLOCK will appear and tap on that.

I just had the same problem happen to me as Rigo described above. Today is October, 22, 2023. I sent a document to someone, looked in my Sent folder, every single one of the emails that appear in that folder are marked blocked. My sent email did not appear in the Sent folder but I contacted my recipient and they confirmed they received the email. What is strange is that I can go to my inbox and see emails from the same people on the same day as one’s that are blocked, but they aren’t showing a blocked icon where they appear in my inbox. Ex: Joe sent me an email yesterday (still in my inbox and not blocked), I replied to it yesterday (in my sent box but Joe is showing as a blocked contact now on the email I sent him). I go to my Blocked list and nowhere is Joe’s number or email showing on the blocked list.

i had to go to Settings, Mail, Blocked Sender Options, and uncheck Mark Blocked Sender to get rid of the block icon for all mails in my sent box. It’s back to normal in terms of appearance, but I wonder what will happen now.

Today is June 11/24. I had the same problem and couldn’t figure out why because all my emails sent without any problems and I received all emails as I bcc myself. Also I could not see my email in the list of blocked contacts in my Settings so it didn’t make any sense as to why this was happening. I did not know how to fix this until I saw the comment from elizweber “swipe left to unblock myself”. To fix my issue I selected my email address from one of my sent emails and clicked “Unblock this Contact”. Once I did this all blocked icons instantly disappeared from all my previous sent emails. I don’t know why this was an issue in the first place; perhaps a glitch or perhaps to caution of something more troublesome! So not sure whether or not this action affects anything!
