The Stubborn File - Seemingly Impossible Deletion

Hello,

I have had a file on a particular drive that I have been trying to delete. I have tried everything. Nothing can nuke this file. I am curious if anyone has any suggestions here I can try an report back on.

Also, I am aware the file has a size of zero on the disk; however, space is not the issue. The issue is the file will not go away. I cant delete it. I don't want to wipe the drive as it is storing the rest of my backups.

LOoks like you manually tried to mess with the Time Machine database— not advised.

TM manages itself:

You can try temporarily disabling SIP and see if you can delete. Then re-enabling SIP is most important.
