Apple watch not responding to touch

I haven't used my watch in a while but I decided to start wearing it again. When I go to click on buttons, it takes multiple tries. For example, while typing in my passcode, when I click the number it clearly registers on the screen that I clicked it, but it takes multiple tries for it to work. This is very frustrating as I have to click on buttons 5-10 times for it to work. I don't think my touch screen is broken, as it responds to my touch, just doesn't actually open apps I press. This was never an issue before. Also- I force restarted my watch and it did not solve the problem. My watch is also not in water lock mode. I also just updated it as I thought that may be the problem but it still didn't solve it. Please help!

Hi xtaylorrr,

We'd like to share some helpful guidance to help with your Apple Watch. Knowing that you've already updated is helpful.

Do you happen to have a screen protector or any other kind of covering on your Apple Watch? If so, we recommend temporarily removing it and then testing to see if that might account for what's happening.

If the issue persists and you've already updated and tried a force restart, use this link to reach Apple directly to check into this further: Apple Support
