Lightning to HDMI adapter for viewing on TV

Does anyone know of a third party (not Apple made) Lightning to HDMI adapter that will play Netflix, etc. after iOS 16.3 update which apparently fixed the problem when using Apple’s adapter (after doing a firmware update)? I can’t get answers from any other sellers as to whether they have the requisite firmware update to make this now work.

Thank you, but this was not an issue of the app developer blocking it, and it was not limited to Apple TVs. Before ios 16.3, these adapters did not allow Hulu, Prime, Netflix, etc. to be streamed on any TV with these adapters. Apple says ios 16.3 fixed that. One user confirmed same, using an Apple-made adapter, but only after he did a firmware update for the Apple adapter and rebooted his iPad. So my question is whether the other makers of this adapter (for $11-18 vs Apple’s at $49) also offer the requisite firmware update for their adapters. I have yet to get any other maker to reply.

My 2 cents (likely overpriced) I was heading out today to purchase an HDMI adapter, and decided to check in here first. Best Buy has them in stock for the $49 as you mentioned. After reading these posts. Here is what I did to show my screen in a nursing home.

If the media you want to display is stored on your iPhone/iPad you can use an old router. No internet is required for the router to provide a network, which is all you need to use Air Play. It gets tricky if large files you are trying to display have been optimized into your iCloud storage.

Changing the wifi settings on the display and reconnecting to the preferred network can be avoided.

If the tv has an ethernet port use it. Saves connecting to your temporary network and then reconnecting to yours (or a hosts) regular network. Another way to bypass changing the wifi network settings is to use an AppleTV or Roku between the router and the tv. An HDMI cable connects the streaming device to the tv.
