If you can't connect your Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or ...

I have the same problem and have not been able to resolve it. I've been using a Magic Mouse instead but want to go back to the trackpad. I just updated to Sonoma, and still cannot connect the Magic Trackpad. Actually I have 2 of them and they both do the same thing - shows up in Settings with Connect button, but does not connect. This is super-frustrating!

I also tried creating a new user account and connecting the Trackpad to that account - same problem. Seems that there is a software problem in the Bluetooth module - is there a way to access that?
