Family calendar won't accept my work email as an invitee

I love Mac Calendar. It makes like life amazing. I can see everyone's calendars helps keep me sane. I typically create events that our family needs to know about on our iCloud Family calendar. While it is shared, I also will invite my children and husband to events that they need to be aware of. Many times, I also want these events to show up (and sync) to my work calendar so meetings don't get scheduled at the same time. The way I do this is by adding my work email as an invitee so it shows up on my work calendar. Recently, Calendar has accepted everyone else as an invitee except my work email. Now I have to make a copy of the event to put it on my work calendar. This stinks because if there are any changes, I have to remember to change two events instead of one. There is no syncing. Wondering if I am missing anything simple to fix this or if it's a weird bug I will have to deal with going forward.
