i dont have my
physical DL with me but i have Hi Res pictures and there seems to be nothing i can do when asked for verification that doesn’t make sense.

Federal Law/statutes have very specific requirements and it requires the use of an original document. Your photo of an ID does not qualify. All you need to do is go to your states DMV and pay for a duplicate license or get it renewed. Expired licenses and State IDs do not qualify as a valid form of ID.

Federal regulations are quite clear on the requirements. Banks don’t get to pick and chose the regulations they follow. Have someone mail you your license or obtain a duplicate.
i wholeheartedly get what you’re saying but how can my photo not qualify when what verification requires is a photo of the original document?
it’s exactly the same thing because my DL has not expired and from what i can see the only difference is that by making people take the photo in real time the verification can be done by via computer or AI circumventing human interaction, because any support team member would be able to verify the photo validity regardless of when the photo was taken.
theres also the case that the money that’s stuck inaccessible to your users are funds that can be used to get a duplicate ID from the DMV. Your suggestion requires an expense of time and money to access my own money which is quite counterproductive towards the ends anyone with this issue is trying to achieve. With my Face ID and other applications that require the confirmation of my identity this route seems unpractical with having a live scanning of my DL as the only option for verifying my identity, even a passport would not be eligible. I’m sure there are alternatives so information on those would be appreciated as soon as possible so i can actually get to my money.
