I forgot the phone number I put for the two-factor authentication so I could reset Apple ID password

I had to factory reset my phone, so I don’t have access to my Apple ID. I try to sign in, but I don’t remember the password. I go to reset my password, and it asks me for the phone number that I used with my Apple ID. I put it in a number and it says it’s incorrect, so I can’t do anything to receive the verification codes!! Is there another way to change my password without the two-factor authentication?

We understand that you're running into an issue with your Apple ID and are unable to reset the password. When you attempt account recovery, are you able to select that you don't have access to the phone number lined to your account? If so, please follow the prompts for additional options, otherwise you may not be able to reset the password and regain access to your account.

Should you have additional questions, you can speak with an Apple account specialist. Although they can't provide you with access to the account, they can guide you regarding your options. They can be reached at Get Support.
