Discoloration on front camera iPhone 13 Pro

Hi!

I just got my new iPhone 13 Pro and noticed something odd on the photos and videos taken on my front camera.

There appears to be at least 4 maybe 5 spots with green centers and red/pink hue on the outside.

They appear only on the front camera and it does not matter if I take a video or a picture (or if I use e.g. Instagram vs the actual camera app of the phone) they show up in it all.

Does anyone have the same issue or know what they are?

I tried to Google and found out there are several options lens flare/dead/stuck pixels etc. but I’m not sure which fits to this.. They all seem different from mine.

Here’s a picture for reference.

Hi mimoz,

Lens flare is a phenomenon of cameras resulting from photos taken while aimed at light sources. As that does not appear to be the case in the sample photo you provided, this is likely not the cause or exlanation.

If this occurs in all photos and videos captured with that camera, first ensure that the camera lens is clean and free of debris using the steps from Cleaning your iPhone. If you use any sort of case or a screen protector that covers the camera lens, consider removing those and retesting the effect.

Should it continue, reach out to Apple Support directly for further investigation on this matter.

Regards.
