Thanks Jeff_W for the info I tried this and it booted but I could not login. II also tried several other boot options posted on the internet before signing up and posting my question on this site. I took it to the Apple Store and the tech had the same issue he tried several other things for about an hour. He told me they would try some other diagnostics if they could get into the computer and kept the MacBook 2013(my original post said 2015). Apple contacted me on Sunday and informed me that they thought the trackpad was bad and they no longer carry the parts since the device is more than 5 or so years old. They could not guarantee that was the trackpad was the issue. They recommend I try a third party vendor, due to past experiences of poor quality and excessive billing I will not choose this option. I guess I'll wait and see what new MacBooks come available at the June 5th event. Both people I spoke with at Apple both in store and on the phone were competent and very eager to troubleshoot and solve the issue. I've been an apple user since the First MacBook Air released and have always received excellent support and service. Thank You again Jeff_W, I appreciate your time ,efforts and expertise.
