I cannot get my studio display to turn on after I wake up my mac studio. Should I use never for Turn display off? Or is there something I missed about how to correctly wake up my mac studio from sleep.

Apple support chat offered another solution that worked. With the mac studio powered on and awake, I was instructed to disconnect the thunderbolt connection to the studio display and then unplug the power to the studio display. I was then instructed to plug back in the power to the studio display and then reconnect the thunderbolt cable from the mac studio to the studio display.
After allowing the mac studio to go to sleep automatically according to the Lock Screen settings, tapping the spacebar woke up the mac studio and turned the studio display back on.
Apparently when I unpacked all of my new hardware yesterday I was supposed to wait until after powering up the mac studio before connecting the studio display, just like I had to (temporarily) physically connect the magic keyboard and magic mouse after powering up the mac studio.

Toggle “Prevent automatic sleeping…’ in the Display Settings and only allow the Display to turn off when not in use.
