Getting Magic Keyboard to Connect:

1. Go Here: Connect an Apple Wireless Accessory with Mac – Apple Support
2. Scroll to: Connect a Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2 or Magic Trackpad 2 with your MAC
3. Proceed from there as necessary

View YouTube:

Look up some videos on YouTube to see how it connects.

First please make sure you are in fact using a Magic Keyboard. It is the one with a sliding power switch in back, and not a momentary pushbutton on its side.

Then follow these instructions: If you can't connect your Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad to your Mac - Apple Support.

Terminal Command:

As mentioned in my first comment —Try the following in command in Terminal, and see if it fixes this:

sudo pkill bluetoothd

“root” maybe?

Use an Administrator Password:

“sudo” means “super user”. So, use an administrator password. If you are the administrator of the computer, then the password you use to log in to your account with should work.

Looking for $29 bucks? No one here can grant you that money. But…Sell something on Craigslist for that price(i.e. a fully-operable Graphing Calculator), and you’re good to go from there —it’s back to school season. So, it’s a big seller, for sure.

That is in fact a Magic Keyboard. The instructions in If you can't connect your Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad to your Mac - Apple Support should work.

why doesnt apple have a magic keyboard that combines the touchpad and keyboard into one device? smh

Would you prefer Apple to manufacture that keyboard with the trackpad on its left or right side?
