Magic Keyboard connection to macbook air 2020

I bought a magic keyboard USB C (2024) for my 2020 MacBook Air 13". It connects without problem and everything works except keys backlighting. On the Bluetooth menu, the keyboard results connected, but on the System Report Bluetooth it results disconnected.

I cannot understand what is going on. Is the backlighting faulty? Is the keyboard wrongly connected?Thanks for any help

If it is the new "Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for Mac models with Apple silicon (USB–C) - US English" then:

It is only compatible with Apple Silicon Macs
It does not have key backlighting
