I tried to follow instructions provided by Apple; they make it look simple - will the Apple Store swap the battery for you at the apple store? using cr2032 battery. Its easy to get to the old battery out, but seems impossible to close once you try to put the new battery in :( Any suggestions greatly appreciated

You have to get the 3x “tangs” on the cover to align w/ the 3x “slots” in the body.
Then absolutely minimize how much “squeeze” force is applied.
Use two fingers at the opposite outside edges of the cover to maximize “friction & torque” while minimizing “squeeze.”
Also, DO make sure that your replacement cell does NOT have a “bitterant” coating.
