I had trouble opening the AirTag to change battery, I managed it to open it, it was extremely difficult to open it (maybe it purposely built that way?) than I tried to put a new battery in it, didn’t work than I noticed the AirTag little tiny almost invisible notches 2 of them broke off. Money down the drain. It is still under warranty I just wanted to see how the battery changes going to happen I ruined it.

If you broke the battery cover's tangs or managed to damage their respective notches, while attempting to remove the cover, this damage will not be covered by Apple ... as it will be consider user caused.
How exactly did you attempt to remove the tag's battery cover? Is should only require that you press down on the cover, and then, rotate it.
