WD Discovery

Hello everyone, I've been desperately trying to connect
to "my cloud home" for weeks to no avail... I have a Mac Mini M2 chip
and every time I get the response from the WD server
it directs me towards some manipulations to be done - see the sreen capture below -
in the system preferences which do not correspond to what I have in my system operating:
"General Tab" for example does correspon to nothing...
Does somebody can help me? I'm getting really nerveoux... :)
Thanks by advance.

Ah, In Security & Privacy, I se now. :(

Maybe they're speaking of Allow applications downloaded from

Protect your Mac from malware by only allowing apps that come from the App Store or from identified developers.

  • App Store: Allow only apps that have been downloaded from the App Store.
  • App Store and identified developers: Allow apps only from the App Store, and from developers identified by Apple.

How to "allow" 3rd party apps in Ventura … - Apple Community

Can you right click on the WD App & choose open?

Any help here???

My Cloud is a Western Digital product.

As such, your best resource would be their support page(s).

Also, if you have installed any WD software that came with the drive, you might be better served uninstalling that and moving to use iCloud, which is built into the macOS. You have a small allowance of storage available to you to start, and can supplement that with a subscription to additional capacity if you wish.

Utilities that ship with third party drives are unnecessary and tend to cause more trouble with the Mac than they are worth.
