Hello,
Made first imovie and trying to share via email. Get a message: Sharing to email has failed. When I click details, it says "Please make sure your Mail application is properly configured." I have made sure imovie as 'full disk access' as suggested in a prior thread, but did not work. Appreciate any thoughts.
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.12
Try going to System Preferences/Security & Privacy/Privacy/Automation and make sure that the Mail app is enabled for iMovie.
Also, go to your Mail/General Preferences/ and set your email app as your default mail app. Check your Mail Account server settings and make sure they are correct.
If still no luck, export your iMovie project as a movie file to your desktop. From there drag it into an email.

Mail app providers have limitation on the file size that can be sent. You probably just need to make your emailed movie a smaller file size. If you export your iMovie file you will have file size choices under the resolution options that you can make in the share box:
Also, the file size number under the picture may not be entirely accurate.

(Now what's interesting is it says it is too big to mail, but the size under the movie is less than that number...)
