apple Mail how to stop autoresponder URGENT

Hello I've got an issue, there was set an autorepond on apple Mail with the rule. but it started to responding every email in the inbox. I've immidiately delete that rule, but it still keeps sending messages. How to cancel that?


that e-mail account was not assed to iCloud so I cannot see it there and there is nothing on the server as well

Then logically it can only exist from the server end.

That means visiting http://www.icloud.com/ and mail web app to see if the settings are there.

If they aren't it is possible the responses are not induced by your account, but by a recipient's account that has been hacked.


I generally recommend you not mass email people with CC, and rather only email them with BCC if you mass email anyone. Otherwise any infected machine on the CC list can implicate all recipients on the CC list in sending messages. If you haven't been mass emailing, but other friends of yours have, please tell them the same.
