“Non Genuine Display” Message in Settings

I removed a Genuine Apple display assembly from a non-functional (dead) iPhone 11 Pro Max that had a bad logic board. There is absolutely no doubt this is a genuine display. I used this screen to replace the cracked one in my personal iPhone 11 Pro Max. However, there is a “non genuine display” message in settings that I would like to remove, even though this display is a 100% authentic and genuine Apple part. How can I remove this error?

I do not own the tools, nor do I desire to. However, if the device was brought into a Certified Apple Repair location, surely they could remove this message, right? It comes back after you reset the device.

IF they agree to service that phone, which is doubtful, the only way they will agree to do that is to replace the display you installed with a service part from their stock.

IOW, you're going to have to pay to have the display replaced by Apple or an authorized service provider. And that's the best case scenario.

Worst case, they turn you away and refuse to service it, in which case you can either live with the issue or buy a new phone.
